Spring 2006
RAISING RESILIENT CHILDREN IN THE DAWN
OF THE 21ST CENTURY

Looking for a class to lift your spirits and build your skills as a parent?
Welcome to Raising Resilient Children in the Dawn of the
21st Century , a 10-week parent education class designed to help
parents manage the challenges of raising today’s children, from
toddlers to teens. The class will help parents build a foundation
from which children can soar. Parents will develop an
understanding of the concepts, and learn the skills, that enable
them to raise competent, caring, and resilient children by first
learning how a number of widely accepted non-truths serve to
undermine the goals most parents set for their children.
Hundreds of parents have participated in the class over the
last 10 years. Former students (parents, step-parents,
grandparents, adoptive parents, and even adults who were not
parents) have included teachers; attorneys; pediatricians; engineers; school
principals; counselors; social workers; preschool directors; and psychologists to
name a few. Now it’s your turn to discover what so many others have already
discovered!
